During these years, young people form habits, attitudes, and values that will remain and develop throughout life. Thank you for trusting us with the education of your son or daughter. Our commitment is to do our very best to partner with parents and youth to achieve success together. As educators, we are committed to helping all students learn. As we share this responsibility with parents and community, we can help each student meet our high expectations. Remember to stay involved in your child's education during the middle school years. Your son or daughter will be reaching for greater independence, but will still need your guidance and encouragement, perhaps now more than ever. To help us meet your child’s educational needs, we ask you to:
We have new bell schedules this year in order to save money on Diesel Fuel. No students should be waiting out front before 6:45 a.m. as there is no supervision by anyone before 6:45 a.m. Students are allowed to come on campus at 7:00 a.m.; a bell rings at that time. All students are invited to eat breakfast free. The first bell rings to go to class at 7:27 a.m. The tardy bell rings at 7:30 a.m. Students will be dismissed on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 2:34 p.m. On Wednesdays we will dismiss at 1:04 p.m. Students should be picked up immediately because there is no supervision of students after the buses leave. If you feel your child needs daycare, we are looking into that but have no answer at this time. Castle Dome will provide the best possible educational opportunities to meet the developmental needs of each student. The Arizona Department of Education Report Card rates Castle Dome Middle School as Performing Plus (above state performance goals). As proud as I am that our school has achieved that rating, it does not satisfy me or our staff. Instead, we have set a goal of continuing improvement. You can expect our school to rate even higher in years to come. Sincerely, Ms. Harriet Williams, Principal |
